Captain Awesome (.ZIP 1.5 MB)A vaguely complete game that I made for my Real-time Rendering and Game Design class. I took the concept of a scrolling flight game such as Tyrian or Raptor, and made it 3D. You guide your ship through tunnels and valleys, dodging and shooting at enemies. Extremely simple, really. Duke Nukem Doom (.ZIP 4.3 MB)A doom conversion I made a long time ago. It was my life for a while, for no other reason than I really had nothing else to do and really liked both Doom and Duke Nukem, but could not play Duke Nukem on my 486. So, I imported most of the graphics, sounds, music, and such into Doom, while changing everything's behavior to play more like Duke Nukem. It is insane how much trouble I went through, considering how inconsistent the media was for both engines, and how little I started out knowing. I still think the gameplay is significantly more fun than Doom originally had, which seemed to come from having it be like a child of mine for, literally, years. Good luck getting it to work now though, with a new fancypants OS. [ journal reference ] |
